Realme has announced that it will launch Android 13 early access for three of its smartphones and has laid out the roadmap for rolling out Android 13 early access to other Realme smartphones. Both the 150W and 80W versions of Realme GT Neo 3 and Realme GT 2 will receive the Android 13 Early Access update starting today, Realme announced in a press release. The Realme GT 2 Pro was the first Realme smartphone to receive the Android 13 update.
In its release, Realme said that the early access application channel will open on September 19 and applications will be accepted in batches. This means that owners of any of the above Realme smartphones can apply for early access to Android 13 starting September 19th. “The upgrade also underscores Realme’s commitment to providing its devices with regular and timely updates post-launch,” Realme said.

Realme’s roadmap shows that the Realme GT Neo 3 150W, Realme GT Neo 3 80W and Realme GT 2 will receive the Android 13 update this month. In addition, the newly launched Realme GT Neo 3T, Realme 9 Pro+ 5G, Realme 9 Pro 5G and Realme 9i 5G will get the Android 13 update next month in October.
In November, the Realme GT, Realme Narzo 50 Pro 5G and Narzo 50 5G will receive the Android 13 update. After that, the next batch of Realme smartphones that will receive the Android 13 update will be available in the first quarter of 2023. In the first quarter of 2023, 7 Realme smartphones will receive the Android 13 update. These include the Realme GT Master Edition, Relame 9 SE 5G, Relame 9 5G, Realme 9, Realme 9i, Realme 8 Pro and the Realme 8s 5G.
In the second quarter of 2023, only three phones — the Realme 8 4G, Realme 8i, and Realme Narzo 50 — will receive the Android 13 update. In addition, in the third quarter of 2023, almost a year from now, six budget Realme smartphones will receive the Android 13 update. These include Realme Narzo 50A Prime, Realme C35, Realme C31, Realme C30, Relame C33 and Realme Narzo 50i Prime.
How to request early access to Android 13 on Realme phones
Relame also suggested in its post that users can apply for the Early Access program by going in settings > software update > Click on the settings icon in the upper right corner > trial version > Apply now > Submit your details and Complete the quiz. Realme users are also advised to ensure their battery has 60 percent charge to proceed with the update.
Android 13 new features
Android 13 brings an improved design and layout of Material You for Android users. The themed icons that match the color scheme of your wallpaper are now also available for third-party apps. A key feature of Android 13 is that the system will ask you whether you want to allow notifications as soon as you install a new app.
Android 13 also brings a new clipboard for more privacy and a cleaner user interface. On Android 13, when you copy and paste text, it appears at the bottom as a floating window with a share button next to it. This makes things easier and keeps what you’ve copied visible throughout the process. There are also a number of other privacy, convenience, and cosmetic updates that came with Android 13.
